AURORA, Colo. - Health inspectors have closed the kitchen at Canterbury Gardens, an independent and assisted living facility in Aurora, according to our partners at the Aurora Sentinel.
The newspaper reported that inspectors said the kitchen at the 235-bed facility didn’t meet minimum requirements.
Randy Kuykendall with the City of Aurora said the kitchen was closed Monday and that a portable kitchen was brought in.
A resident of the facility who alerted the Aurora Sentinel about the problem said residents were receiving fast food meals until the kitchen reopens.
