Tis’ the season for giving -- and one Aurora high school is doing just that by helping families who are struggling financially.
For the second year, Gateway High School students hosted their “Shop With An Oly Day" event.
“Oly” stand for Olympian, the school’s mascot.
About 80 elementary students from nearby schools met their “Oly elves” who took them shopping at Target. The high school students raised their own money to make it happen.
Gateway says the primary objective is to instill the importance of good community stewardship by helping families in financial need.
