DENVER — Police in Denver are investigating the death of a woman found inside a unit at a residential tower after a standoff with a man in downtown Monday evening.
The man kept police at bay for more than an hour but was taken into custody without incident after coming down from the unit at the Tamai Tower at Sakura Square, located at 1255 19th Street.
Police said they found a body of a woman inside the Tamai apartment after the standoff. Her death is being investigated and has not been classified as a homicide at this time.
Details as to the events that led to the incident are not known. Names of those involved have not been released.
