Man suspected of 'possible' sex assault of teen girl turns himself in

UPDATE (Thursday, May 3, 11:34 a.m.): Westminster police say Romero turned himself in to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office Thursday morning.


WESTMINSTER, Colo. – Police are looking for a man suspected of a possible sex assault on a teenage girl.

Westminster police said Wednesday they were looking for 44-year-old Chad Joseph Romero in connection to the case. He is described as 5-foot-7 and 170 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

The possible assault happened on April 23 in the 6100 block of 73rd Ave. in Westminster, police said. The alleged assault happened in a vehicle, and the alleged victim knew Romero, police said.
