DENVER -- Former Fort Collins elementary school teacher Dean McCollum had his resignation approved by Poudre Valley school board members Tuesday after he pleaded guilty in February to negligent child abuse and misdemeanor sexual contact.

But he is far from the only teacher in Colorado who has lost their job after being convicted of a crime.
