Suspect drops wallet during Castle Pines bank robbery; police seek person who took suspect’s wallet

CASTLE PINES, Colo. — The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is asking the person who picked up a wallet dropped by a man robbing a bank to contact them.

Around 11:50 a.m. Monday, a robbery occurred at the US Bank inside King Soopers on Lagae Road in Castle Pines. Witness reported seeing the suspect drop a wallet, and another citizen picked it up.

The sheriff’s office would like to talk to the person who has the wallet. That person can call the Douglas County dispatch center at 303-660-7500.

The bank robbery suspect is described as a thin white male with a gray beard. He was wearing a red bandana and sunglasses. The suspect got into a silver sedan parked in the King Soopers parking lot. The suspect’s vehicle was parked close to the store.
