GUNNISON COUNTY, Colo. — An investigative team is looking into the circumstances that led to an officer-involved shooting that left one suspect dead.
According to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, on Thursday at 4:12 p.m., a member of the Colorado State Patrol responded to a one-vehicle crash in the area of Highway 135, near mile marker 23, in Gunnison County.
For an unknown reason, a shooting occurred. No officers were injured. The suspect was pronounced deceased.
The 7th Judicial Critical Incident Investigative Team is investigating this shooting.
