DENVER — A rash of shootings and stabbings in the Denver area in the last 24 hours has left at least one dead and 10 wounded. Only two arrests were reported from the eight incidents that kept law enforcement busy overnight.

A triple shooting in the 5800 block of Ceylon Street in the Green Valley Ranch neighborhood Saturday night left three people wounded. Two of the victims in that shooting were treated on the scene; one of the victims ended up at the hospital. There is no suspect information in this case.

About an hour after the Green Valley Ranch shooting, police responded to a stabbing in the 300 block of Raleigh Street in west Denver. Police detained possible suspects in this incident.

Around 7 p.m. Saturday, Adams County Sheriff deputies responded to a report of shooting in the 5400 block of Sheridan Boulevard. Upon arrival, deputies encountered an adult male with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Paramedics took him to a local hospital in an unknown condition. An initial investigation revealed the shooting stemmed from a family disturbance. A man was taken into custody.

At 11:05 p.m., police responded to another shooting in Denver on Xenia Street. The double shooting left one man dead, and a woman wounded. Police are still looking for a suspect.

One person was wounded in a shooting near Bruce Randolph Avenue and Vine Street just after midnight. Police are still investigating, and no suspect information was available.

About an hour later and on the other side of the city, police responded to a second stabbing near Federal Boulevard and Howard Place. One person was treated for their injuries. There’s no word if a suspect was apprehended in this incident.

Just before 3 a.m. on Sunday, an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound was dropped off at an Aurora emergency room, police said. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries. The shooting took place 14301 E. Tennessee Ave. in Aurora. Police are still investigating and have not released suspect information in this case.

But the violence didn’t stop as the sun came up. Denver police are investigating a shooting near 22nd Street and North Broadway near downtown. One person was wounded in that shooting, and the suspect or suspects remains on the run.
