LONGMONT, Colo. – Longmont police are working to see if there is a connection between the disappearance of Rita Gutierrez-Garcia and a man who suffered serious injuries about a week later in the same parking lot in which she was last seen.

Tyler Bullock, 26, was found unconscious outside 3’s Bar with serious injuries to his head around 2:30 a.m. Monday, his sister, Kristal Beecher, told Denver7 Thursday. She said police are working to determine if there is any link between his injuries and the disappearance of Gutierrez-Garcia because the incidents happened in the same location and around the same time of day – just eight days apart.

On Monday, Longmont police put out another notice, asking anyone who was in the area of 3’s Bar, or in its west parking lot off Coffman Street, between 2:15 and 3:15 a.m. on March 18 to contact police. Gutierrez-Garcia and friends had gotten out of the nearby Breakers Grill shortly beforehand.

The request included “bar patrons and employees, delivery trucks, designated drivers, etc. who may have seen Rita while in the area.”

They also asked “anyone who has seen or spoke with Rita” since that morning to contact police.

Witnesses and friends who spoke with police said there were other people in the parking lot at that time that saw Gutierrez-Garcia and talked to her.

“We do not know who all those people are and we are asking that anybody who was in that parking lot that night (Saturday into Sunday morning), we’re asking that they call the Longmont Police Department and tell us what they saw,” a police spokesperson said during a press conference last Thursday.

The spokesperson said investigators know the woman was on the phone with somebody before she went missing, but they do not know who that person was.

Gutierrez-Garcia was last seen wearing a black long-sleeved shirt with black leggings.

She is 5-foot-7, weighs 140 pounds and has brown hair and eyes.

Her mother said Gutierrez-Garcia has tattoos on both arms, as well as on one of her shoulders and on her feet. She also has piercings on her ears and tongue. The missing woman's mother did not describe the tattoos in detail.

If you have any information about her whereabouts, you are asked to call the Longmont Police Department immediately at (303) 651-8501.
