Police find homicide victim in car on Aurora street in broad daylight

AURORA, Colo. — A call into police concerning the welfare of a man seen inside a car on an Aurora street has led to a homicide investigation.

Aurora police officer Anthony Camacho told Denver7 that police were dispatched to the 12600 block of East Exposition Drive around 1:10 p.m. Friday following the call.

Camacho said when officers arrived on scene, they discovered the unidentified homicide victim inside a Dodge Charger. Police have not said how the man was killed.

The circumstances that led to the incident are still under investigation. No suspect information was available.

The Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office will release the man's identity.
