AURORA, Colo. – A juvenile was shot around 11:40 a.m. Monday in the 500 block of Sable Blvd. in Aurora, police said.
Aurora police spokesperson Crystal McCoy said at a 1:40 p.m. news conference that the juvenile male was found unresponsive when police were called out to the scene Monday morning. The teenager was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was being treated Monday afternoon, McCoy said.
She said there was one suspect who was at-large Monday afternoon but said there was no threat to the public. McCoy said she could not release more information so as to not compromise the ongoing investigation.
McCoy said officers will still interviewing witnesses Monday afternoon and asked anyone with information about the shooting who had not already spoken with police to call Agent Miller at 303-739-6117 or Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP.
