CONEJOS COUNTY, Colo. — One set of human remains located on a Conejos County property and connected to the “psycho” case in November has been identified.

The remains of Myron Robert Martinez, 37, of Del Norte, Colorado was identified as one of at least three sets of remains discovered on Nov. 10 in a rural part of Conejos County, according to a Colorado Bureau of Investigation news release Saturday.

After the remains were discovered, authorities announced they were searching for a suspect who is well-known in the area by his nickname: Psycho.

On Nov. 19, Adre Jordan Baroz, 26, was taken into custody at a motel in Gallup, near the New Mexico-Arizona border.

Baroz is currently being held in the Alamosa County Jail, but has not been charged in the death of Martinez. His arrest warrant remains sealed.

Martinez was reported missing to the Rio Grande Sheriff’s Office on Nov. 6, four days before his remains were discovered on one of two nearby properties in the rural Colorado county. A family member reported they had not been in contact with Martinez since late October.

The task force, consisting of Conejos County Sheriff’s Office, CBI, Alamosa police, Saguache County Sheriff's Office, Monte Vista police and Colorado State Patrol, has not determined the cause and manner of death; however, investigators believe foul play was involved.

Martinez comes up as a registered sex offender on the state’s database. He was convicted on July 18, 2018 for failing to register as a sex offender, according to CBI.

Work continues to identify the two other sets of human remains located in the county.
