ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. — The residents in six apartments were displaced Wednesday morning after a car barreled into a building.

The crash happened around 2:28 a.m. Wednesday at the Country Club Villas on E. Florida Avenue near Parker Road.

A man driving a 2013 Nissan sedan driven crashed into the building, partially into one couple's living room. Carlo Perry said he woke to the crash to find the car in his apartment.

A 59-year-old woman in one of the apartments was injured when the car crashed into her unit. She has serious bodily injuries, said Trooper Gary Cutler with Colorado State Patrol.

Both the woman and the driver were transported to the hospital, said to Trooper Josh Lewis with CSP.

There was no information available on the severity of their injuries.

Two residents told Denver7 that the driver was naked and screaming, "Get me out of here."

"Well, we were in there dead sleep and I thought that the ceiling had caved in," said Angela Perry, a resident of the apartment.

She said she heard somebody screaming, "Get me out, let me out." She said she didn't know there was a person in the car and is thankful nobody was killed in the crash.

"We just moved in last Saturday," said resident Carlo Perry. "So we've only been here a week and just got our furniture delivered last Saturday and so everything is a wreck."

The impact of the crash broke the stove open, he said.

"They pulled the guy out of the car," he said. "He was butt naked running around the parking lot from what I understood. High or drunk or whatever. (He) jumped in his car and peeled out and ran into the building. I just thank God we are all safe."

CSP is investigating the crash.

Six apartments were damaged and their residents were displaced as a result. The Red Cross is helping the Perrys, the said.

When asked what their apartment looks like inside, the couple said it was "a mess."

They said they were concerned that the crash happened so close to Christmas.

"I pray that Christmas is still on because we were going to have all seven of the kids and all 19 grandkids and the one great-grandchild and one on the way to come over," Angela Perry said.

"Yeah, we were going to have a family Christmas but its not going to happen," Carlo Perry said. "Not gonna happen."

The driver was identified as 32-year-old Salan Dol. He had minor injuries from the crash. Investigators said they suspect impairment to be the cause of the crash, though it's unclear if that's related to drugs or alcohol.
