Mesa County man arrested on 12 counts of child sex abuse charges

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — A Mesa County man was arrested on 12 counts of child sex abuse charges, the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday.

James Henson, 35, is facing four counts of sexual assault on a child position of trust, four counts sexual assault on a child pattern of abuse, and four counts of aggravated incest.

The charges stem from four separate alleged incidents that occurred between May 2015 and September 2018, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.

Henson is being held without bond in the Mesa County Detention Facility.
