LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. — A man has been accused of attempted sex crimes against children and prostitution following a four-month investigation.
On Wednesday, Larimer County Sheriff’s Office authorities arrested Loveland resident Mark Thomas Brinkman, 54, after the multi-month investigation of attempted sex crimes against children and prostitution.
Brinkman was booked into the Larimer County Jail on allegations of:
- Enticement of a child
- Criminal attempt sexual assault on a child
- Conspiracy to commit sexual assault on a child
- Internet luring of a child
- Pandering
- Prostitution prohibited
Bond had not been set as of Wednesday at 3:45 p.m.
In June, investigators received a report of suspicious activity involving Brinkman and his business, Mark’s Leisure Massage. The report detailed that he was advertising illegal massage services involving sexual acts. During the investigation, an undercover Department of Homeland Security special agent contacted Brinkman about the business’s services, and the man agreed to perform illegal sexual acts on the undercover agent and a fictitious minor.
Investigators said they are aware that Brinkman operated his business from an office complex at 1530 North Boise Avenue in Loveland and more recently, from his home in Loveland.
