DENVER – Police are investigating a homicide after a man was shot and killed at a neighborhood on East Colfax Avenue late Wednesday evening.
The shooting happened in the area of 13th and Yosemite, the Denver Police Department tweeted just before 9:30 p.m.
Officials said there was a “large police presence” in the area, and that a victim was taken to a hospital.
Nearly 30 minutes later, the department tweeted the victim – a man – was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Information on a suspect as well as information regarding the circumstances that led to the deadly shooting remain under investigation, officials said.
