DENVER – A man is dead following a shooting on West Colfax Avenue near Sloan’s Lake Saturday evening and police are now investigating the crime as a homicide.
The shooting was reported just before 5:30 p.m. in the area of W. Colfax Ave. and King Street, about two blocks south of Sloan’s Lake.
A Denver Police Department spokesperson told Denver7 Saturday evening the shooting was connected to a car going into a building but would not say if the victim was shot while driving.
Colfax Avenue was closed from Meade to King Street as investigators combed the scene.
