AURORA, Colo. -- Black ribbons and candles are in front of Real De Minas, a restaurant where an employee was killed on his way home from work. A driver in a stolen pickup truck struck him in the middle of Colfax, just feet away from the restaurant where he had worked for years.

Police identified 60-year-old Francisco Luevanos-Miranda as the man killed early Monday morning.

"We all want to know what happened. He was a good guy. I think he deserves justice," said Arlene Botello, his coworker.

Aurora Police told Denver7 officers spotted the stolen Ford F-250 at 30th and Peoria prior to the crash but the suspect took off. The car was later found in an empty Denver lot. It looked like someone tried to set it on fire.

A relative said Luevanos-Miranda worked in the restaurant's kitchen for years and his family owned it. Customers stopped by on Wednesday to drop off flowers.

"He’s going to be missed. It’s not the same, his presence was there when he was here," said Botello.

Police are still looking for the suspect. They don’t have a description because the windows were tinted. Anyone with information is urged to contact Aurora Police.
