CASTLE ROCK, Colo. – A man was injured following a shooting at a King Soopers gas station in Castle Rock, police said Tuesday evening.

The Castle Rock Police Department said they responded to the shooting, which occurred at a King Soopers on North Ridge Road, around 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Speaking to Denver7 at the scene, a Castle Rock PD spokesperson said an altercation occurred at the King Soopers gas station before the man was shot in the access road behind the gas station. There was no known threat to the community, the spokesperson added.

The victim, who was identified as a 25-year-old Hispanic man, was taken to a hospital for treatment. He was in serious condition.

Police are now looking for three suspects in connection with the shooting: A white male and two Hispanic men, all in their mid 20s and all wearing white plain uniforms. The suspects are believed to be driving an early 2000s maroon Chevy suburban vehicle.

Ridge Road was closed between the shopping center and Enders Blvd. as the investigation unfolded. It was not immediately clear when the road would reopen to travelers in the area.
