FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) — A Colorado man has been sentenced to life in prison for stabbing his ex-girlfriend, stabbing her mother to death and pushing her 4-year-old daughter against a wall.
The Coloradoan reports jurors found 27-year-old Tolentino Corzo-Avendano guilty Wednesday of all six charges, including first-degree murder. He was sentenced Thursday.
Prosecutors say Corzo-Avendano entered his ex-girlfriend’s house high on meth before fatally stabbing her mother and severely injuring the ex-girlfriend. He then pushed the child against a wall, which led to a child abuse conviction.
The man who was with Corzo-Avendano that day in February 2016 testified against him as part of his own plea deal.
