AURORA, Colo. — A man allegedly chased down a drive-by shooter and shot him early Thursday, Aurora police say.
At 1:21 a.m., the Aurora Police Department tweeted that it was investigating the shooting, which occurred around the 1300 block of Ironton Street.
Police said a drive-by shooter opened fire at a home and a person who was inside ran out, chased the driver and shot him.
The wounded man has injuries that are not life-threatening, police said. Nobody else was injured.
The man who ran out of the home was arrested at 1:50 a.m. on charges of first-degree assault. Police identified him as Benjamin Lopez, 22.
No other information was available Thursday morning. Police say this remains an open investigation.
