LAKEWOOD, Colo. — A 60-year-old man is accused of shooting his wife and was arrested in Lakewood on Wednesday afternoon.
Shortly after 3 p.m. that day, agents with the Lakewood Police Department responded to a report that a person with a gun had shot a woman at the Parkview Apartments complex, located at 9890 W. 26th Avenue.
As agents surrounded the complex, the suspect, Bruce Bagwell, 60, exited the apartment and surrendered.
When police walked into the apartment, they found his wife, 58-year-old Teresa Bagwell, deceased of an apparent gunshot wound.
Bruce Bagwell was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder.
Police are investigating the circumstances and motives that led up to the shooting. No other details were available.
