ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. -- A good Samaritan who stopped to help victims of a crash early Friday morning had his car stolen.
The Colorado State Patrol said two people were in a stolen Jeep that crashed into the South Platte River near 74th and York Street. A woman in the Jeep died. A man in the Jeep escaped the river, climbed back up to the road and flagged down help.
The good Samaritan who stopped told the Colorado State Patrol that he told the victim to sit in his car and warm up while he went to check on the woman. The good Samaritan said he found the woman dead, went back to his own car and it was gone.
Denver Police spotted the stolen car near Dick's Sporting Goods Park. There was a chase and the suspect crashed into a home near 6th and Steele.

The suspect was caught and taken to the hospital with multiple injuries.
Troopers are investigating the death of the woman.
