BROOMFIELD, Colo. – Police in Broomfield are asking for your help to find a man wanted in connection with an attempted kidnapping of a child Monday afternoon.

A young girl told Broomfield police she was walking home from school near the area of 144th Avenue and Lowell Boulevard in the Broadlands neighborhood when a man got out of a parked pickup truck and tried to push her inside.

The girl escaped and ran to safety, telling police the suspect vehicle is a dark-colored pickup truck with a crew cab. The suspect was described as a white male, between 30 and 40 years old, with an “average build and average height.”

Police said in a Facebook post the truck appears to be a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500. They also noted the vehicle appears to have aftermarket wheels and what appears to be a missing center cap from the rear passenger side wheel.

If you spot the suspect vehicle, you’re asked to call 911 immediately. If you have information about this case, please call Detective Vince Lopez at (720) 887-5249.
