DENVER – The Colorado Bureau of Investigation has a new No. 5 most-wanted sex offender and has caught several of its most-wanted offenders over the summer.

Lydon Paul Hoover, 51, is wanted out of El Paso County on several warrants, but is on the state’s most-wanted sex offender list for failing to register in the county for a second time.

According to the CBI, Hoover has a prior conviction of sexual assault—child fondling.

But according to state court records, Hoover has several other active warrants out of El Paso County for other crimes as well.

He failed to appear in court on a theft charge last year, and failed to appear in court proceedings in 2015 after pleading guilty to harassment.

Hoover is described as a white man who is 5-foot-8 and 155 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to call CBI at 303-239-5732 or the CrimeStoppers hotline at 1-800-222-TIPS.
