DENVER – A man who pleaded guilty in 2015 of negligent child abuse in exchange for having a host of other charges, including attempted sexual assault of a child, dismissed, is wanted by authorities in Colorado.

Filiberto Rojas-Torres, 59, received an 8-year suspended sentence in the case, and was ordered to serve a 10-year supervised sex offender probation, according to court records. He was convicted of negligently causing serious bodily injury to a child.

But his probation was revoked just a month later, in March 2016, and a warrant for his arrest for failing to comply with the sex offender registry was issued out of Denver.

He hasn’t been caught over the past year-plus, and is the state’s No. 11 most-wanted sex offender.

Rojas-Torres is described as a Hispanic man who is 5-foot-5 and 200 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.

Anyone who has information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Colorado Bureau of Investigation at 303-239-5732 or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
