FORT COLLINS, Colo. — An acupuncture therapist in Fort Collins has been accused of sexually abusing his clients, according to the Fort Collins Police Department.

The owner and sole operator of Old Town Acupuncture, 44-year-old Kent Nixon, was arrested on Wednesday and booked into the Larimer County Jail on charges of sexual assault and three counts of unlawful sexual contact.

The business is located at 723 Cherry St.

In early August 2020, a woman called the Fort Collins Police Department to report that Nixon had touched her inappropriately without consent during a treatment. Once police began an investigation, they discovered other victims, police said.

Police say detectives are concerned Nixon may have assaulted more clients who did not report the crime. Anybody with more information is asked to call Det. Dollie Knab at tipsline@fcgov.com or 970-416-2825.

The identities of sexual abuse victims are protected by Colorado law.
