ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. – A former Westminster High School teacher and coach who was arrested for reportedly having sex with an underage female student has been sentenced to seven years in prison in connection with the case.
Benjamin Forbes, 31, was charged in connection with a sexual relationship he had with a 16-year-old female student at the high school from August 1 to December 1, 2016. Forbes was a math teacher and soccer coach at the school.
Forbes pleaded guilty to one count of attempted first-degree assault and one count of attempted sexual assault on a child, both class 5 felonies.
