COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Springs police say an estranged husband shot another man before turning the gun on himself.

The shooting happened at a home in the area of Fossil Drive and Paradox Drive at just before 8 p.m. Friday, according to police.

When officers arrived on scene, they found the shooter dead inside the home and another man wounded in the torso. He was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police said the shooter’s wife was home at the time but wasn’t hurt.

Neighbors tell the Colorado Springs Gazette the couple had two children and was getting a divorce.

This remains an active investigation.
