JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. — Jefferson County authorities are conducting a death investigation after a body was found inside the trunk of a Ford Focus Thursday.
Around 2:30 p.m., the Jefferson County emergency communications center received a call about a bad odor coming from a white Ford Focus parked on West Hampden Avenue near South Nelson Circle.
When investigators arrived on scene, they opened the vehicle’s trunk and discovered the body, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities have not disclosed the body’s gender or the condition it was found in. It’s unclear how long the vehicle was parked at that location.
No other details surrounding the investigation has been released.
