Denver police arrest man in connection to North Capitol Hill sex assault, burglary

(UPDATE Wednesday | 9:58 a.m.) — Richard Matovic, 39, has been arrested in connection to an investigation into a sexual assault and first-degree burglary on the 1600 block of Logan Street from Monday morning.

The Denver Police Department said they received "numerous tips" regarding the crime.

According to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, this is his only arrest in Colorado.

DENVER — Police in Denver are asking for public’s help identifying a man wanted for burglary and sexual assault in the city’s North Capitol Hill neighborhood.

Police say the man burglarized a residence or business and sexually assaulted the victim around 1:40 a.m. Monday in the 1600 block of Logan Street.

No other details surrounding the incident were released. However, a photo showing the suspect walking down a hallway was published in a Crime Stoppers bulletin Tuesday.

The suspect is described as a white male between the ages of 30-49. He has brown hair and a light beard.
