DENVER – Police in Denver are investigating a homicide after an adult man was found dead in the southeast part of the city.
Police were at the Ventana Apartments, 4896 East Warren Avenue, for several hours Monday for what they initially described as a death investigation on Twitter. Investigators later determined they had a homicide case on their hands.
Details surrounding the investigation are not known. However, a Denver7 crew on scene reported the focus of the investigation appears to be evidence in the apartment's parking lot. Police were seen dusting for prints on a parked vehicle in the lot.
Police have yet to release suspect information at this time.
The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner is expected to release the victim's identity and cause of death once an examination is complete and next of kin have been notified.
