Denver lawyer Robert Corry arrested on suspicion of DUI, his third arrest since June

DENVER -- Prominent Denver attorney Robert Corry was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence last week, his third arrest since June.

Corry, who represents the Texas truck driver charged in April’s deadly Interstate 70 crash, was also cited for failing to report an accident, careless driving and leaving the scene of an accident involving injury, according to a Denver police probable cause statement.

At 10:49 p.m., Friday, police responded to a crash in the 1400 block of North Downing Street. Officers found Corry slurring his speech, swaying and his breath smelling of alcohol, police said.

It’s the latest in a series of incidents for Corry, who was arrested in June on domestic violence-related charges In July, Corry was arrested after witnesses reported him waving a sword and threatening members of the public.

He also has been arrested for smoking marijuana during a Rockies game, smashing the window of a vehicle and third-degree assault.
