COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (AP) — A 37-year-old Colorado woman has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty in a case stemming from a drunken-driving wreck last summer in which her 11-month-old daughter died.

Charlene Sunshine Munoz-Trujillo was sentenced Friday after pleading guilty to child abuse resulting in death.

Prosecutors say Munoz-Trujillo had a blood alcohol content of 0.214 last July 28 when she got into an argument with the baby's father, "threw" her daughter into a Mercedes and "drove off in a rage."

The car hit a parked pickup truck in Commerce City, and the child, who was not restrained, was ejected and suffered fatal head injuries.

Charges of vehicular homicide and drunken driving were dismissed as part of a plea agreement reached in the case.
