FORT COLLINS, Colo. – A Fort Collins boy was hit outside a school in Fort Collins Tuesday afternoon, the second incident this month in which a child was hit by a driver near a busy intersection.

The boy was hit by a car outside of Colorado Early College Fort Collins near the intersection of E. Harmony Rd. and Mcmurry Ave. at around 3:27 p.m., according to a Fort Collins Police Services spokesperson, who added no one was transported to the hospital following the crash.

The boy’s identity was not released.

The driver, who was only identified as an 18-year-old man, was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

Last Tuesday, a child was struck by an SUV in front of Lopez Elementary School. The boy was later pronounced deceased.
