ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. — A Colorado Correctional Center inmate is on the run after escaping from a work crew in Adams County Wednesday.

Cody Harris, 27, was part of a correctional crew working near Interstate 76 in Adams County around noon. Authorities said he walked away from the work area around 12:55 p.m.

Local law enforcement was notified soon after Harris was reported missing, according to a release from the Colorado Department of Correction.

A DOC spokesperson said Harris is serving a 30-day sentence at the minimum security facility for a disorderly conduct conviction.

Harris is a 6-feet 2-inch tall, 215 pound white male with blue eyes, brown hair and a brown beard. If you see him or know his whereabouts, you’re asked to call 911.
