JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. – An Arvada man who was found to have more than 40,000 child pornography videos and images in 2015 was sentenced Friday to 27 years in prison.

Todd Alan Ledbetter, 35, faced between 22 and 30 years in prison after he pleaded guilty in December to one count of sexual exploitation of a child-distribution and three counts of sexual exploitation of a child – possession.

Ledbetter, who has been a registered sex offender since 2003, was arrested in April 2015 after multiple law enforcement agencies discovered a large peer-to-peer child porn network operating out of at least two Arvada homes he lived in at points during the year.

Police found more than 40,000 images and videos, many of which depicted infant- and toddler-aged children, according to the First Judicial District Attorney’s Office.

DA’s Office spokeswoman Pam Russell said the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has so far identified 61 different victims from the pornographic content from across the world, including two victims from Colorado.

“This is an appropriate sentence for these despicable acts.  Mr. Ledbetter was in possession of an extremely large and meticulously curated collection of child pornography,” said District Attorney Peter Weir.
