DENVER — Police in Denver are investigating four separate shootings that left two people dead and seven others wounded in and around downtown Denver in the span of less than six hours Friday night into Saturday morning.

The incidents include a triple shooting at Civic Center Park and a fatal shooting outside Coors Field. Two of the victims wounded in the shootings were uninvolved bystanders. Denver police said the four shootings appear to be isolated incidents. No arrests have been reported.

The first shooting occurred at Civic Center Park in downtown Denver. Police responded to the park around 8:30 p.m. on a report of a shooting. Three men were shot in the park. One victim was pronounced deceased. The two other men are hospitalized. One of the victims, who police said was an uninvolved bystander, is in critical but stable condition.

Police said two suspects approached a group of people in the park and shots were fired. The motive remains under investigation. There are no arrests at this time.

About two hours later, police reported another shooting outside Coors Field. Two men were shot outside Gate A of the stadium in the area near 22nd and Blake Streets. One man was later pronounced deceased. The other man, who police believe was an uninvolved bystander, is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The Denver Police Department said the deceased victim was a contracted concessions worker at the stadium. He was involved in an argument with two other individuals when he was shot, along with the bystander. No arrests have been made. The department said the shooting is not believed to be related to the victim's job.

The third shooting occurred around 2 a.m. Saturday in the area of West 11th Avenue and Acoma Street. Two people were shot, a man and a juvenile male, during an altercation in a parking lot. The man was transported to the hospital where he is in critical but stable condition. The juvenile victim was driven to the hospital in a private vehicle. He remains in critical condition.

The circumstances of this shooting remain under investigation, police said.

Around the same time as the third shooting, police responded to the area of East Colfax and Ogden/Downing streets. Police said a woman was shot and transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police were later notified of a man who was at a local hospital being treated for a gunshot wound. Investigators confirmed the man is associated with the Colfax shooting incident. He is also expected to survive his injuries.

Police said the circumstances and suspect information are under investigation.

Denver police said they are constantly evaluating trends and causal factors to identify opportunities for crime prevention. They said officers will conduct additional patrols in the affected areas. They released the following statement in a news release Saturday:

"The Denver Police Department condemns the acts of those who are quick to pull triggers and cause irreparable harm to our neighbors and neighborhoods. DPD is committed to holding gun-related offenders accountable to the greatest extent possible, including working with federal law enforcement partners on investigations and filing federal charges when appropriate."
