ARVADA, Colo. – Eight people, including six juveniles, have been arrested on several charges including kidnapping and assault in Arvada, police said Friday.

The alleged incident took place last Friday, Jan. 27, when an 18-year-old male was reportedly lured to a stolen vehicle by an acquaintance and was severely assaulted and threatened, according to Jill McGranahan, a spokesperson for the Arvada Police Department.

The suspects allegedly forced the teen to take off his clothes and took photos of him.

The suspects then returned to the teen’s home, burglarized the property and stolen two additional motor vehicles and other items, McGranahan said.

The teen was later shot in the leg before he was dumped on the side of a highway.

No other information was released as police said this is a ongoing investigation.

The suspects were arrested on suspicion of first-degree kidnapping, attempted first-degree murder, first-degree burglary, robbery and other unspecified charges
