LAKEWOOD, Colo. – Police in Lakewood are asking for any information that may provide clues after a 73-year-old man was found stabbed to death at his apartment Saturday night.

Agents with the Lakewood Police Department responded to reports of a deceased adult male in an apartment in the area of W. 16th Ave. and Balsam St. at around 10:20 p.m. on July 6.

Once at the scene, agents observed the male, who was identified as 73-year-old Gregory Neisner, had been stabbed multiple times. On Tuesday, John Romero with Lakewood police said they believed Neisner was stabbed to death within a day of being found.

The man’s home didn’t appear to be burglarized, Romero said, adding the killing did not appear to be random.

No arrests have been made and there is no suspect description at this time. If anyone has any information on this homicide, they are asked to call the Lakewood Police Department at 303-980-7300 and reference case number LK19-119532.
