EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. – Three of the people charged with their alleged involvement in the murder of two Colorado Springs teenagers earlier this year are reportedly working on plea deals.
Dahlberg faces a second-degree kidnapping charge, while Meza faces a charge of possession of a weapon by a previous offender.
Dahlberg’s lawyer, Jennifer Stock, told KRDO that the district attorney’s office had offered her client a deal, but did not specify the details. Stock told KRDO that she hopes to reach a deal before Dahlberg’s next court appearance, which is set for June 12.
The Gazette reports that Prado also requested to postpone her preliminary hearing on Thursday. She, like Dahlberg, faces a kidnapping charge.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office has remained tight-lipped about the ongoing investigation. It has still not released details about how Greer and Partida were murdered or how the 10 people were involved.
