DENVER – Two young men have been formally charged with robbing three people and killing one of them in a street robbery in Denver’s Baker neighborhood on Oct. 18.

Ibrahim Musa, 20, and Husham Al Kinani, 18, both face four felony counts related to the incident: one count of felony murder, two counts of aggravated robbery and one count of criminal attempt to commit aggravated robbery.

Prosecutors direct-filed the charges against the two on Nov. 15, a day after police announced their arrests.

Musa and Al Kinani are accused of trying to rob three people in the 100 block of N. Bannock Street on the night of Oct. 18 and shooting Thomas Steen, 25, who died after being taken to a nearby hospital.

Musa and Al Kinani are set to appear in court for their second advisements on Thursday.
