EL PASO COUNTY — Letecia Stauch wrote a letter to the judge overseeing her case claiming she is receiving unconstitutional treatment while in jail.

In the letter to Judge Gregory Werner, Stauch said she has only met with her defense team once in five months.

Stauch said due to the high volume of discovery documents she cannot participate in her defense on phone calls three times per week.

She also claimed the jail is listening to her phone calls with her attorneys.

Stauch said she has been abused at least 15 times while being transported, including injured ribs, bumps to her head, and other injuries, and that she has had threats delivered in her food.

Stauch was arrested in South Carolina on March 2 and transferred to El Paso County to face charges.

Gannon was reported missing in January of this year. His remains were found in Florida on March 18.
