LITTLETON, Colo. -- It's been a tough week for Kristine Jones. Last week, the ex-Marine was hit by an SUV.
"I was very angry, I was confused. I cannot stand to feel helpless and that’s what I felt," Jones said.

Last Wednesday morning, Jones was near her Littleton home in the South Park neighborhood passing out fliers for one of her two jobs.
"I went in the backseat to try and grab some fliers and in an instant, by the snap of the fingers, I just remember hearing a loud bang," Jones said, remembering what she can of the incident.
That noise was a white SUV hitting Jones' Jeep that was parked in the other lane on South Hill Drive.
"I don’t remember it but I went from here to the back of the car. I don’t know how I got back there," Jones said.
A neighbor's surveillance video shows the white SUV driving off. Jones says she was taken to the hospital for minor injuries, but fears the worst is yet to be diagnosed.
"If my shoulder is torn, I’ll have to fix that and I don’t have medical insurance," Jones told Denver7.
Jones hasn't received her medical bills yet, but fears they will be insurmountable. To make it worse, the driver has yet to be found.
"What if I was a child? What if I was a mother with a baby with my kid? That’s what scares me the most," Jones said.
Denver7 reached out to the Littleton Police Department for more information but did not hear back.
