COLORADO SPRINGS – Colorado Springs police officers shot and killed De’Von Bailey after receiving a call that the teen and his cousin had committed an armed robbery.

But on Thursday, a jury acquitted the cousin, Lawrence Stoker, of the only criminal charge connected to the alleged robbery after less than 10 minutes of deliberation, Stoker’s attorney, Daniel Kay, said.

After three days of trial, the jury found Stoker, 19, not guilty of a count of misdemeanor assault and a misdemeanor count of harassment in connection to the alleged Aug. 3 robbery that prompted police to contact the two cousins.
