COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — Multiple organizations have announced plans to deliver a $20,000 check to help a Colorado adaptive hockey team replace stolen and damaged equipment.

The Gazette reports that the specialized equipment was used by players who are in wheelchairs or on crutches.

Authorities say equipment including the sleds, helmets, pads and gloves were stolen out of a trailer in a gated lot Tuesday.

Authorities say some of the equipment was recovered, but is unusable.

A team coordinator says they need to replace $30,000 worth of equipment before their first game Oct. 5.

Officials say organizations including the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee and USA Hockey invited the team to the national training center Friday to present the check.

A GoFundMe page was setup to cover remaining costs.

No arrests were made.
