GREELEY, Colo. — The Frederick man accused of killing his pregnant wife and their children is scheduled to appear in a Weld County courtroom Tuesday.
Chris Watts, 33, will appear for a status hearing at 2 p.m., according to a statement from the Weld County District Attorney’s Office. It’s unclear what the newly-scheduled hearing will be about. Denver7 will be in court and report any new developments.
Police arrested Watts late on the night of Aug. 15 for allegedly killing his pregnant wife, Shanann Watts, and young daughters Celeste and Bella. The victims’ bodies were found at oil work site in Weld County.

Watts claimed that Shanann killed their daughters before he killed her at their home in Frederick. Police and prosecutors have not said officially how any of them died, though court records suggested they were strangled.
