1. Denver Taco Festival

What: The whole reason behind the festival is to put tacos in your face, according to the event’s website, and we have no problem with that!

When: Saturday and Sunday from noon to at least 8 p.m.

Where: 725 w. 39th Ave.

Admission: Kids 12 and under FREE! The Tequila Expo is an event within the main event. $20 entry includes 5 shots and entry to the separate expo entertainment area.

2. South Platte RiverFest

What: An urban river fest with several activities that include board demos, kids zone, live music and beer.

When: Open 10 am - 8 pm on Saturday and 10 am - 5 pm on Sunday

3. Silverthorne Theater Grand Opening

What: The new $9 million Silverthorne Performing Arts Center opens with a day of community celebrations and performances.

4. 6-28-05 Memorial Workout

What: More than 100 individuals are registered to do a military-style workout at Littleton Public Stadium in honor of those who lost their lives.

What: The festival touts itself as all-ages fun in the sun with a variety of entertainment, food, and beverage.
