Want to learn how to ski or snowboard, or want your kids to learn? January is Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month.

While most of Colorado's ski areas and resorts are offering discounts on rentals, lift tickets and/or classes, here are the best deals.

Arapahoe Basin

The cheapest deal for one lesson is at Arapahoe Basin. First Timer, half-day lessons for adults are $70 and include the lesson and lift ticket. Equipment rentals are not included. For a full list of available dates and more details visit http://arapahoebasin.com/ABasin/lessons/lssm.aspx.

Copper Mountain

If you're looking for a deal on lessons, that comes with a SEASON PASS, then Copper Mountain is the best choice. Copper Mountain’s Ski and Ride University offers three lessons with lift tickets, equipment rentals, close in parking and lunch on the 2nd and 3rd day for $249. After completing the 3rd lesson, graduates receive a free Copper Mountain season pass for the remainder of the season and 50 percent off next seasons’ pass. Those wanting to enroll in Ski and Ride University must purchase the product in person, be 18 years of age or older and new to skiing and snowboarding.
