Starbucks treat receipt is back. Buy anything at Starbucks in the morning, before 2 p.m., and bring your receipt back after 2 p.m. on the SAME DAY to get a Grande cold drink for $2. Saturday, August 2 is free fish fry day at Long John Silver's. Get a plate of fish and fries for free from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at participating locations. No purchase neccssary. Valid for dine-in or carry out, according to the LJS website.

Know a teacher? Let them know that this weekend, Friday through Sunday (Aug. 1-3), is the first annual Teacher 2 Teacher Educator’s Consignment Sale. The Denver County Fair is this weekend (August 1, 2 and 3) and my co-worker, Anica, has found a deal on admission. Tickets are $10 for adults, BUT if you dress up in costume, you'll get 2-for-1 admission. The deal is listed on this website, search cosplayers and you'll see the 2-for-1 offer. What is cosplay? The Foothills Animal Shelter's drive to adopt out as many animals as possible continues this weekend with a special this weekend. On August 1-3, the shelter will offer ALL pets six months and older for just $4 to celebrate the shelter's 4th anniversary at its current location. While you get a deal, your pet still gets a vet exam, initial shots, spay/neuter and a microchip. The regular adoption process still applies. Learn more on the shelter's website Friday. Target has an interesting deal through Saturday night, get $10 off a $40+ purchase if you use store pickup. The deal is the fourth one listed on Target's list of current promotions. Not all items are eligible for store pickup, but if you're buying an item that is, this will save you $10.
